Flowers on the porch

Today I heard a knock on the door. I opened it to find this fun purple box sitting on my porch. I've never received flowers in the mail but oh boy is it a lovely thing! And to top it off, they are my favorite flowers: Gerbera daisies! I'm a happy girl.

 It wouldn't be complete without an accidental card mix up. Happy Mother's Day to me though! Mary and Lillian, I'm sorry you won't be getting your card but I hope you enjoy mine. Also, your family loves you!

Landscapes and travels of a year

I love traveling and seeing new places and I love taking photos. If I could somehow make a job out of both of these things I would be one happy soul. All too often I have this internal battle of wanting to just be in the moment and enjoy nature free from distractions while also wanting to photograph what I see. I find myself always wanting my camera when I don't have it but wishing I didn't have it when I do. It's dumb. That being said, it's photos like the ones below that make me happy I had my camera and took the time to take a photo.
