A Few Portraits from Bannack, Montana

On Valentine's Day, I went on an all day field trip to Bannack, Montana with my photography class. Bannack is an old gold mining town built in the 1800s but it's residents deserted it so now it's just a cool little ghost town chalked full of really cool buildings and pretty scenery, even in the snow. These are just a few portraits I took of my classmates. We had very specific photo assignments to complete on the trip but I found myself just wanting to take portraits all day. I'm very grateful for classmates who don't mind having their photo taken, even when it's snowing like crazy outside.
Thank you James, D.D., and Michael.

Mallorie Foster // Portraits

This is Mallorie (Lamb) Foster. She is one of the kindest souls I know and a truly beautiful person, inside and out.

Bits and Pieces

Bits and pieces from the past month.
September, October, November and December are my favorite months. I love leaves changing colors. I love all the autumn scented candles. I like drinking Martinelli's Sparkling Cider for no reason at all. I guess I could do this anytime of the year but I usually wait until fall/Christmas time to buy it. I love cozy sweaters. I like finding all the crunchy leaves to step on. I love feeling the crisp air.

Sometimes I really like out of focus photos. I'm not sure why. Something about it seems pleasing to me.

Yellowstone National Park

On September 28th, I went to Yellowstone National Park for the first time!
I'll admit I am a little biased because I grew up two hours away from Yosemite and that's where I would go as a kid. I think that was my mistake though, I found myself comparing the two parks when I know they are completely different and beautiful in their own ways. (Yosemite is waaay cooler just in case you were curious.) Regardless, Yellowstone is beautiful and I recommend wearing lots of layers if you ever go in September.
